Vitamin D gets an A+ grade for preventing COVID-19!!

Studies from around the globe are showing that adequate levels of Vitamin D can prevent infection from COVID-19 and lessen your chances of complications or even death. Here’s a closer look at some of the findings…
A study in the PLOS ONE publication (Sept. 25, 2020) looked at mortality rates in a Tehran hospital. The results showed that only 9.7% of the COVID-19 hospitalized patients with adequate levels of Vitamin D died from COVID-19, whereas 20% of patients with low levels of Vitamin D does from the infection.
A British study showed patients were given large doses of Vitamin D upon diagnosis of COVID-19 when admitted to the hospital. This treatment prevented 98% of patients from having to go into intensive care. Yet half the patients who did not receive the large doses of Vitamin D ended up in the intensive care. Thus, adding large doses of Vitamin D to the treatment of hospitalized patients reduced the risk of needing intensive care by 25 times!
