Are You Taking Statin Drugs?

One of the most widely prescribed drugs in use today are statin drugs, such as Lipitor, Crestor and Zocor.  The FDA  has identified a risk for those who take satin drugs for higher blood sugar levels and for being diagnosed with diabetes. This has caused the FDA to re-label statin drugs to warn consumers of this additional, potential side effect.

If you are taking satins, especially if you are taking them for lowering your cholesterol, you may want to dig into the research, and discuss what you discover with your medical doctor. Or, call our office in Chico California, and ask to speak with Dr. Patrick about other, less risky options for normalizing your blood sugar and cholesterol.
