Food Allergies Become More Common

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that food allergies have increased by 18% among children in the decade from 1997 to 2007. Visits to doctors, emergency rooms and outpatient clinics have tripled from 2003 to 2006. 

There is also evidence that many people are also reacting to, “ new health fad foods" such as quinoa, and chia seeds. Experts theorize that some people are developing allergies to these new healthy foods, because their bodies may never have been exposed to them before and their bodies seeing them as allergens. 

Traditional medicine has nothing to offer food allergy sufferers except avoidance which can be especially difficult if you suffer from wheat, dairy or gluten allergies.
