Is Taking a Daily Aspirin Safe?

If You Are Taking Aspirin Daily, you will want to read this:

If you have never had a heart attack, hopefully this news won’t precipitate one!

For decades the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has supported taking a daily aspirin for the prevention of heart attacks.

The FDA has now reversed their point of view. The recommendation is that if you have not experienced a heart problem - even if you have a family history of heart disease- you should NOT be taking a daily aspirin.

FDA’s website* states:

Environment - Pills

“FDA has concluded that the data does                                                                              not support the use of aspirin as a preventative medication by people who have not had a heart attack, stroke or cardiovascular problems, a use that is called ‘primary prevention’. In such people, the benefit has not been established but risks –such as dangerous bleeding into the brain or stomach are still present.”

It goes to show us that just because a drug is either OTC (over the counter), FDA approved or has been around for a century, it doesn’t make it safe. Patients regularly report that they have gerd aspirin, and heartburn after being on aspirin. That’s because  aspirin causes microscopic bleeding in our stomachs. Besides, why take aspirin and risk gastric bleeding and/or ‘brain bleed’ if there are more effective ways to take care of your heart?

An overlooked key to protecting your heart naturally is to reduce any chronic inflammation, which begins in the gut. If you are experiencing the symptoms of chronic inflammation in your gut –such as bloating, gas and allergic-like reactions to food - seek a doctor who knows how to reduce the inflammation and heal the stomach from the inside out – without aspirin.
